I qualified from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2002 with a BSc(Hons) degree in podiatric medicine and have never looked back. I opened my first clinic on the day I qualified and have been treating patients ever since. 2024 is my twenty-second year in practice and on reflection podiatry has not only given me a rewarding career but it has also given me the opportunity to expand our clinics throughout the UK & Ireland.
This year I am delighted to have opened our sixth Foot Medic™ clinic in Royal Hillsborough, Belfast which is the hometown of my business partner and fellow podiatrist Ciaran Canney.
It is my aim to grow Foot Medic™ into a national chain of podiatry clinics that provide the highest standard of foot care to our patients whilst creating a opportunity for aspirational podiatrists to work with us and open their own Foot Medic™ clinics.
Being part of the Foot Medic group has opened my eyes too all the different aspects of podiatry and how far I can take my career within the profession. I have a keen interest in MSK and podopeadiatrics and thrive to learn and specialise in this area.
I always knew I wanted a job which would make a difference to people and help improve their quality of life. I take great pride out of how much my treatments can make a difference, which continuously contributes to my passion for the job.
I believe my interest for MSK comes from my sports background, I train and compete in full contact kickboxing and K1. I love the discipline and confidence that the sport has given me. I am always very active and love hiking in the Welsh mountains, surfing, and crossfit. I am very excited about where the Foot Medic is going to take podiatry and how much of a difference our team will bring to our patients.
Hello I’m Zoe, I believe that footcare is of great importance and working in a job where you know you’re making an impact is rewarding. I always knew I wanted a job which would make a difference to people and help improve their quality of life. I take great pride out of how much my treatments can make a difference, which continuously contributes to my passion for the job.
My background prior to joining Foot Medic was predominately biomechanics and sports therapy. I have a keen interest in working with the biomechanics of sports movement. I find it extremely rewarding to help all our patients to become pain free and get back on their feet through rehabilitation and the latest equipment and technology available at Foot Medic.
Being part of the Foot Medic team enables me to help my patients so they can enjoy all levels of activities from walking their dog to climbing a mountain. I am very excited about where Foot Medic is taking podiatry and how much of a difference our team will bring to our patients.

After practising as a podiatrist for nearly 40 years, I still enjoy coming to work at Foot Medic. I like people and I'm 'wired to help'. I worked in the NHS for many years then I joined the Foot Medic team; here I was able to treat patients as I would like to be treated myself -holistically.
After graduating, I successfully gained a certificate in Health Education and one of the things that I have carried with me is the importance of listening to my patients to understand what they perceive as their problem. Communication is key and I always explain and help patients to understand how things can be improved while empowering them to make these changes; this is very important to me.
I have a very high standards of care for all our patients at Foot Medic, general routine podiatry care and diabetic care is paramount to my role. I look forward to welcoming you in clinic.
My name is Lianne I am one of the podiatrists at Foot medic and I am mainly based in the Cardiff East Llanrumney clinic. I studied podiatry at Cardiff met and qualified in 2010. I absolutely love working as a Podiatrist. I totally believe in the importance of good foot health. After qualifying I went to work in the NHS primarily working with high-risk diabetic patients, which was a huge learning curve.
I am interested in all aspects of podiatric care and believe in looking at the whole person not the foot in isolation. I take huge pride in my work and see the benefits to patients’ lives, pain levels and mobility.
Prior to completely my degree I worked for many years as a Support worker for adults with learning disabilities. During my work I supported many service users to Podiatry appointments and was fascinated how challenging behaviour would reduce after their appointment. I concluded that when the podiatrist reduced painful lesions it had a huge effect on behaviour. I did some research into The Podiatry degree and gave up my full-time job and went to uni. I haven’t looked back.
I have worked with incredible people during my podiatry career including the team at Foot Medic.
Outside work I love to cook and entertain. Spending time with friends and family makes me happy. I love being outside especially by the sea.
My name is Paul, I joined Foot Medic in January 2023 and I am excited to be part of a forward thinking podiatry clinic that provides the highest level of care and treatment for their patients.
I am a foot health practitioner that is based at both Foot Medic Cardiff West and Foot Medic Cardiff East Clinics, I also provide Home Visit for our Home Foot Care house bound patients.
I qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner at the SMAE Institute in November 2012, my previous career was not health related it involved being a Brand Ambassador for a corporate car demonstration company, travelling the UK, working on press launches & events.
My wife is a nurse and I always felt I wanted to move into a similar career as I knew it would be a profession I would enjoy by making a positive difference to people's lives. My wife encouraged me to pursue this goal and I decided to specialise in foot health.
Since then, I have never looked back. I have been successfully treating patients for many years in a high street podiatry clinic and when the position became available in Foot Medic I knew they felt as passionate about this areas of healthcare as I do.
I strive to provide my patients with the highest quality of care. My personal qualities are I am honest, approachable, empathetic and even enjoy having the odd topical debate with my patients.

My name is Tracey and I am the Clinic Coordinator at Foot Medic Cardiff. It’s very likely I will be your first point of contact either via phone, text or in clinic.
I have spent most of my working carer in Healthcare, this experience has provided me with the skills required to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our patients. I have always worked in roles dealing with the public and it’s where I am happiest.
At Foot Medic I am able to do what I love most – help people and ensure you receive the very best care from your initial booking to coming into clinic.
Outside of work I love to spend time with my family especially my two young grandchildren – who keep me active and very busy!

M'Ed (HONS) B'Ed (HONS) I have been working in the podiatry sector for over ten years, where I worked alongside Damian at Murray Medical to successfully grow the largest independent podiatry waste management business in the UK. This provided me with insight into all aspects of the podiatry sector for my role at Foot Medic and enabled me to forge links with both podiatry practices and suppliers while developing my skill sets and knowledge within this ever growing industry.
My key strength has always been communication and organisation. I have a first class Bachelor’s of Education honours degree and a Masters degree in education. I was an aspiring teacher for many years. I have always relished gaining insight into new approaches that inspire others and at Foot Medic we pursue this goal.
It's very rewarding transferring my teaching skill set into my role at Foot Medic. It enables me to help and support our community of patients and clinicians while achieving and promoting the highest of standards of care.
Outside of work, I love to spend time with family and entertaining with friends, walks with our dog and more recently spending time with ponies and learning new skills.
