WHAT TO EXPECT AT
Your practitioner will take a full medical, medication & lifestyle history if you have never visited the clinic before, or review it if you have. All your information is taken in a private room and stored on our secure database for your privacy & security.
Before we anaesthetise the area our podiatrist will assess the blood flow in your feet using a doppler. This is a painless procedure and when you and our podiatrist are both happy we administer a local anaesthetic to numb the area to be treated.
Once the area is numb and you are happy to proceed our podiatrist will perform a technique known as Falknor's Needling using a fine needle in an aseptic environment. The procedure often takes less than 10 mins per verrucae / wart and you leave with aftercare advise and a follow-up appointment
We aim to provide professional, affordable foot care at all times. Our treatment fees therefore reflect the high standard of care we provide. CLICK HERE to view our fees for this service.
In 76% of cases only one treatment is required. However 1 in 4 patients may require additional treatments depending on the success of the initial procedure and/or the number of verruca's / warts to be treated.
With a few exceptions, most adults are suitable for verrucae needling. The only exceptions are those who have a medical contraindication to the anesthetic or have poor wound healing. Children are not suitable for this treatment.
