What is Injection Therapy?

We administer local anaesthetic where pain management is required, such as nail surgery and verrucae needling.

Corticosteroid Injections is an anti-inflammatory medication that will reduce the pain of many musculoskeletal & arthritic joint conditions.

We also offer Ostenil a natural joint lubricant to ease the discomfort of arthritic joints.

HISTORY

Your practitioner will take a full medical, medication & lifestyle history if you have never visited the clinic before, or review it if you have. All your information is taken in a private room and stored on our secure database for your privacy & security.

Podiatry Assessment

ASSESSMENT

Before we administer any medication by injection our practitioner will carry out a painless Doppler test to assess the vascular status of your lower limbs and a visual examination of your skin and joints to be injected - if necessary.

Podiatry Treatment

TREATMENT

Once you and our practitioner are happy to procced the injection site will be cleaned and prepped with skin disinfectant. The medicine will then be administered via a sterile single use syringe / needle in a clean and reassuring environment.

How many injections will I need?

The number of injections you require will be determined by the type of condition we are treating. Rest assured, we will fully explain the number and site of the injection before any treatment is started so you can make an informed decision if you wish to proceed with the treatment. 

Who can receive injections?

It is safe for both adults and children to receive local anaesthetic as we only administer up to the maximum safe dose. We only administer steroid and ostenil injections to adults.
