SWIFT Therapy is a revolutionary treatment that cures stubborn verruca's & warts by treating the infected cells - not just the skin.
SWIFT Therapy is an advanced, clinic-based treatment designed to treat persistent verrucae and warts that do not resolve with time or self-care.
It delivers controlled microwave energy into the affected tissue to stimulate a targeted immune response at the exact site of infection.
Rather than destroying skin through freezing or acids, SWIFT works by helping your immune system recognise and clear the underlying viral infection, allowing healthy skin to recover and reducing the risk of recurrence.
SWIFT is supported by clinical evidence and is recognised for achieving strong success rates where other treatments have failed.

It targets the the infected cells, not just the skin.
It is highly effective for stubborn or long-standing verrucae & warts.
It is an evidence based and quantifiable treatment.
It's a short treatment time with no disruption to daily activities.
there is no need for dressings or anesthesia.
It is safe for adults and children. ⚠️
⚠️SWIFT is safe but painful⚠️
Therefore our practitioners may choose SWIFT for some children & adults.
STEP ONE - History

Our SWIFT certified practitioner will take a full medical, medication, lifestyle & occupational history to determine whether any of these factors may cause or contribute to your presenting condition. This information is taken during a private consultation and stored on our secure database for your privacy & security.
STEP TWO - Assessment

Before treatment, our practitioner will carry out a thorough visual assessment of the verruca or wart.
Clinical images are taken at each appointment to accurately track progress over time.
In most cases, any overlying hard skin is gently reduced so the treatment can be delivered directly to the infected tissue, helping achieve the best possible outcome.
STEP THREE - Treatment

Microwave energy is delivered directly to the verruca using a handheld probe.
Treatment is applied in a series of five short bursts, each lasting just two seconds. These bursts can be uncomfortable, but the sensation is brief and carefully managed by our practitioner, who will guide you through each stage of the treatment.
Patients report minimal to no discomfort after the treatment.
SWIFT Therapy works by stimulating your immune system, so results develop progressively rather than overnight. Most verrucae and warts appear to fade after each treatment. However, the exact timeframe varies depending on how long the verruca or wart has been present, its size, location, and your individual immune response.
Typical treatment pathway and timeframe:
Initial appointment
Clinical assessment, confirmation of diagnosis, imaging, callus debridement and first SWIFT treatment is administered.
Second appointment (4 weeks later)
Callus debridement, imaging and second SWIFT treatment is administered.
Third appointment (4 weeks later)
Callus debridement, imaging and third SWIFT treatment is administered.
Forth and final appointment (8 weeks later)
Callus debridement (if present) and imaging to inspect and confirm clearance of the verrucae / warts. Should any viral tissue remain a forth SWIFT treatment is advised.

How many treatments will I need?
Most patients require 3 to 4 sessions, though this depends on lesion size, duration, and immune response.
What is the success rate of SWIFT Therapy?
SWIFT has a high success rate of 76% to 85% after 3 - 4 treatments.
Success varies depending on factors such as lesion size, duration, location, and individual immune response, which will be discussed during your assessment.
Does SWIFT Therapy hurt?
YES. Patients feel a rapid bust of heat with each aplication, although it only lasts seconds. Most report that the discomfort does not continue after treatment.
Can I walk or exercise after treatment?
Yes. You can walk immediately and resume normal activities straight away.
Are microwaves harmful?
No. The microwave energy used in SWIFT Therapy is highly controlled and medical-grade. It is delivered at a precise depth and only to the affected tissue. Surrounding skin is not damaged, and the energy does not remain in the body. SWIFT has been safely used in podiatry clinics worldwide.
Is SWIFT Therapy suitable for children?
Yes. SWIFT is commonly used in children and teenagers, However we only select patients (of all ages) who we believe are suitable for the treatment.

Yes, verrucae can spread if left untreated.
They are caused by a viral infection and may increase in size, multiply into clusters, or spread to other areas of the foot or to other people.
Will the verruca come back after SWIFT?
By targeting the immune response, recurrence rates are lower than with skin surface treatments.
Does SWIFT Therapy scar the skin?
No. SWIFT does not cut, burn, or freeze the skin.Because the skin surface is not destroyed, there is no open wound and no scarring. Healthy skin gradually replaces the infected tissue as the immune response clears the virus.
When should I get a verruca / wart treated?
You should consider treatment if a verruca is painful, spreading, present for several months, or affecting walking, sport, work, or daily life. Early treatment often leads to quicker resolution and reduces the risk of the verruca becoming larger or more persistent.
