Damian Murray

DAMIAN MURRAY

PRINCAPLE PODIATRIST

I qualified from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2002 with a BSc(Hons) degree in podiatric medicine and have never looked back. I opened my first clinic on the day I qualified and have been treating patients ever since. 2024 is my twenty-second year in practice and on reflection podiatry has not only given me a rewarding career but it has also given me the opportunity to expand our clinics throughout the UK & Ireland.

This year I am delighted to have opened our sixth Foot Medic™ clinic in Royal Hillsborough, Belfast which is the hometown of my business partner and fellow podiatrist Ciaran Canney.

It is my aim to grow Foot Medic™ into a national chain of podiatry clinics that provide the highest standard of foot care to our patients whilst creating a opportunity for aspirational podiatrists to work with us and open their own Foot Medic™ clinics.

MARYAM DARVISH

CLINICIAL PODIATRIST

I am Maryam, a podiatrist and graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University. Since beginning my career, I have been passionate about contributing to a professional and compassionate team dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care. I am proud to be part of the dynamic and patient-focused team at Foot Medic, where we prioritize excellence in podiatry.

My practice is rooted in patient-centered care, fostering mutual trust, respect, and strong therapeutic relationships, which I believe play a crucial role in promoting healing and achieving positive outcomes. Whether providing routine care or advanced treatments, your foot health is my top priority.

I have a particular interest in the biomechanics of the foot and its complex functions. By applying my knowledge and skills in this area, I aim to help patients lead healthier, pain-free, and active lives. My goal is to address both immediate needs and long-term well-being to ensure sustainable improvements.

In addition to my podiatry training, I hold a master’s degree in Early Childhood Studies. This background has given me extensive experience in working with children, young adults, and individuals with additional needs. This dual expertise enhances my ability to provide tailored and empathetic care to a diverse patient population.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy cooking, reading, traveling, and immersing myself in different cultures and traditions with my family and friends. These experiences enrich my perspective and contribute to my holistic approach to patient care.

ZOE RICHARDS

I am Zoe, a podiatrist who graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University I am committed to the critical role foot care plays in improving patients' overall health and quality of life. My career is driven by a passion for making a positive impact on individuals, and I find great fulfillment in seeing how effective treatments can alleviate pain, restore mobility, and enhance daily living.

My professional background prior to joining Foot Medic is rooted in biomechanics and sports therapy, with a particular interest in the analysis and treatment of sports movement mechanics and podopaediatrics. These areas of expertise have enabled me to specialize in managing chronic conditions, treating acute injuries, and implementing preventive care strategies tailored to each patient's unique needs.

At Foot Medic, I focus on addressing both the immediate concerns and long-term health goals of my patients. I incorporate advanced rehabilitation methods and utilize state-of-the-art equipment and technology to ensure optimal outcomes, helping patients return to their daily activities and enjoy improved mobility.

I am particularly passionate about empowering patients to achieve their personal goals, whether it’s regaining the ability to engage in routine activities or pursuing physically demanding challenges. Being part of the innovative and patient-focused team at Foot Medic allows me to contribute to the advancement of podiatry and deliver comprehensive, high-quality care.

LUCI HOPKINS

I am Luci Hopkins, a Clinical Podiatrist and graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University, where I earned a first-class honors degree as a mature student. My passion for podiatry stems from an early fascination with the intricate connections between foot health and systemic medical conditions.

Being part of the Foot Medic team has provided me with invaluable exposure to the diverse facets of podiatry. I have developed a particular interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry and am enthusiastic about utilizing the latest treatment techniques and advanced technologies available at our clinics.

I take great satisfaction in building relationships with patients, alleviating their pain, and enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life. I am committed to staying at the forefront of podiatric advancements to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

My approach to podiatry is centered on personalized, patient-focused treatment. At Foot Medic, the combination of state-of-the-art techniques, cutting-edge equipment, and a compassionate team ensures successful outcomes and satisfied patients.

Outside of work, I value spending time with my family, enjoying long walks with our energetic Springer Spaniel, and immersing myself in books across a variety of genres, including history, biographies, and fiction.

LIANNE MASON

CLINICAL PODIATRIST

I am Lianne, a qualified podiatrist at Foot Medic. I graduated with a degree in podiatry from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2010. My passion for improving the quality of life of my patients, combined with a deep understanding of the critical role healthy feet play in overall well-being, drives my commitment to delivering exceptional care to every patient at Foot Medic.

Prior to joining Foot Medic, I worked in the NHS, where I gained extensive experience managing high-risk diabetic patients. This experience deepened my expertise in diabetic foot care, and I continue to have a strong interest in this area alongside routine podiatric care. At Foot Medic, we utilize the latest technology and equipment to provide comprehensive diabetic assessments and treatments, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care.

I take great pride in my personable, compassionate, and professional approach to patient care. Ensuring the health and well-being of every patient is my top priority, and I am committed to fostering a comfortable and trusting environment for all. Whether addressing routine concerns or managing ongoing diabetic care, my goal is to help patients achieve optimal foot health and mobility.

Outside of work, I enjoy cooking and hosting gatherings, as well as spending quality time with friends and family. I find joy in the outdoors, particularly near the sea, where I can recharge and enjoy nature's beauty. I look forward to welcoming you to Foot Medic Cardiff and supporting your foot health journey.

PAUL WILLIAMS

FOOT HEALTH PRACTITIONER


My name is Paul, and I joined Foot Medic in January 2023. I am thrilled to be part of an innovative podiatry clinic dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care and treatment to its patients.

As a Foot Health Practitioner, I work at both Foot Medic Cardiff West and Cardiff East clinics, while also providing Home Foot Care visits for patients who are housebound and require at-home foot care services. This role allows me to extend our high-quality care to a wide range of patients, ensuring their foot health is consistently prioritized.

I qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner in November 2012 at the SMAE Institute. Prior to transitioning into healthcare, my career was in the corporate sector, working as a Brand Ambassador for a car demonstration company. However, inspired by my wife, who is a nurse, I realized I wanted to pursue a career that would allow me to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. With her encouragement, I decided to specialize in foot health—a decision that has been deeply fulfilling.

Since qualifying, I have gained extensive experience successfully treating patients in a high-street podiatry clinic. When the opportunity to join Foot Medic arose, I was excited to join a team that shares my passion for exceptional healthcare and patient-centered service.

I am committed to providing the highest quality of care to my patients. My approach is characterized by honesty, empathy, and approachability. I strive to create a comfortable and trusting environment, fostering open communication while delivering effective and personalized treatments. I enjoy engaging in topical discussions with my patients, which often make our sessions both productive and enjoyable.

I look forward to contributing to the continued success of Foot Medic and to meeting you as part of your journey toward improved foot health.

DARIA BRADLEY

FINAL YEAR PODIATRY UNDERGRADUATE


Hello, I’m Daria. I began my career as a healthcare assistant in a dental practice, where I cultivated a strong passion for patient care. Over time, I developed a keen interest in foot health, which was further solidified through valuable work experience in NHS podiatry. However, my exposure to limitations in advanced treatment options within the NHS inspired me to seek opportunities in private practice, leading me to join Foot Medic.

Currently, I am in the final year of my three-year Podiatry Degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University. I am excited to transition into a full podiatry career at Foot Medic, where I can contribute to delivering innovative, high-quality care supported by the latest techniques and technology.

In my personal life, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, especially with my young son, who brings endless joy and inspiration to my journey.

With over a decade of experience in the podiatry sector, I have worked alongside Damian at Murray Medical to help grow the largest independent podiatry waste management business in the UK. This experience gave me valuable insights into the operational and business aspects of the podiatry industry, allowing me to build strong connections with practices and suppliers while continuously developing my skills in this ever-evolving field.

My strengths in communication and organization are central to my role at Foot Medic. With a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Education, my background as an aspiring teacher equipped me with the ability to inspire, support, and lead effectively. I’ve found it incredibly rewarding to transfer these skills to my work at Foot Medic, where I focus on supporting our patients, clinicians, and the wider team to maintain and promote the highest standards of care.

At Foot Medic, I am proud to play a part in creating a welcoming, professional environment where patients receive exceptional care and our team thrives. Our commitment to innovation and excellence inspires everything we do, and I am honored to contribute to this mission.
