Damian Murray

DAMIAN MURRAY

PRINCAPLE PODIATRIST

BSc (HONS) MRCPOD

I qualified from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Medicine. What began as a single practice has grown into a 23-year career that has seen me treat thousands of patients, specialise in complex musculoskeletal (MSK) assessments, and build Foot Medic™ into one of the leading podiatry providers in the UK and Ireland.

Alongside treating a wide range of foot and ankle conditions, I have particular expertise in paediatric patients with complex foot needs and in carrying out minor surgical procedures, helping patients find lasting relief from painful conditions that affect their daily lives.

One of my proudest achievements has been not only providing high-quality care to patients but also creating opportunities for other podiatrists to develop their careers. Leading a team that is committed to continuous training, innovation, and professional growth means our patients benefit from the very best standards of podiatric care, delivered by clinicians who are both highly skilled and genuinely passionate about what they do.

Hello, I’m Daria, I began my healthcare career as a dental practice assistant, where I discovered a passion for patient care. My interest in foot health grew through valuable NHS podiatry experience, but it was at Foot Medic that I found the opportunity to provide more advanced treatments in a supportive, patient-focused environment.

After graduating from Cardiff Metropolitan University, I have been committed to the vital role foot care plays in improving overall health and quality of life. I have a particular interest in nail surgery, an area where Foot Medic’s innovative approach and clinical standards allow me to deliver safe, effective, and lasting solutions for patients suffering with painful nail conditions.

What I love most about my work at Foot Medic is seeing how the right treatment can ease pain, restore mobility, and make a real difference to daily living.

Outside of clinic, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, especially with my young son, who continues to be my greatest source of inspiration.

LUCI HOPKINS

CLINICAL PODIATRIST

I am Luci, a graduate of Cardiff Metropolitan University. My passion for podiatry stems from an early fascination with the intricate connections between foot health and systemic medical conditions.

Being part of the Foot Medic team has provided me with invaluable exposure to the diverse facets of podiatry. I have developed a particular interest in musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry and am enthusiastic about utilizing the latest treatment techniques and advanced technologies available at our clinics.

I take great satisfaction in building relationships with patients, alleviating their pain, and enhancing their mobility and overall quality of life. I am committed to staying at the forefront of podiatric advancements to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care.

My approach to podiatry is centered on personalized, patient-focused treatment. At Foot Medic, the combination of state-of-the-art techniques, cutting-edge equipment, and a compassionate team ensures successful outcomes and satisfied patients.

Outside of work, I value spending time with my family, enjoying long walks with our energetic Springer Spaniel, and immersing myself in books across a variety of genres, including history, biographies, and fiction.

ZOWIE GAY

CLINICAL PODIATRIST

I’m Zowie. I am qualified podiatrist from Cardiff Metropolitan University and have since developed a special interest in wound care prevention and biomechanical offloading. I’m fascinated by how foot mechanics affect the whole body and am passionate about finding solutions that relieve pain, restore mobility, and support long-term health.

At Foot Medic, I am able to combine advanced rehabilitation methods with state-of-the-art technology to help patients achieve their personal goals, whether that’s enjoying everyday activities again or returning to more physically demanding challenges.

I am proud to be part of a leading, innovative team at Foot Medic, where podiatrists are continually training and developing to deliver the very best care for our patients.

My background in social work has shaped my caring, person-centred approach, and I value building strong relationships where patients feel listened to and actively involved in their treatment.

Outside of clinic, I enjoy family time, modern jive dancing, long walks with my dogs, and adventures in our camper van.

Paul Williams

PAUL WILLIAMS

FOOT HEALTH PRACTITIONER

Hi I am Paul, and I joined Foot Medic in January 2023. I work across both our Cardiff West and Cardiff East clinics, as well as providing Home Foot Care visits for patients who are housebound and require treatment at home. This allows me to extend Foot Medic’s high-quality care to a wide range of patients, ensuring their foot health is always prioritized.

I qualified as a Foot Health Practitioner in 2012 at the SMAE Institute, after previously working in the corporate sector. Inspired by my wife, a nurse, I decided to pursue a career where I could make a real difference in people’s lives—and specializing in foot health has been deeply rewarding.

Since qualifying, I have gained extensive experience treating patients in a high-street podiatry clinics. At Foot Medic, I am proud to be part of an innovative, patient-focused team. My approach is built on honesty, empathy, and approachability. I aim to create a welcoming environment where patients feel valued, understood, and actively involved in their treatment, and I enjoy building relationships that make appointments both effective and enjoyable.

Outside of work, I am passionate about football and especially enjoy attending games.

STEPHANIE HORSELY

FOOT HEALTH PRACTITIONER

FINAL YEAR PODIATRY STUDENT

Hi I’m Steph, a qualified Foot Health Practitioner with a Level 4 Diploma, and I am currently in my final year of a Podiatry degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

I am committed to providing high-quality foot care while continuing to expand my clinical expertise, particularly in areas such as minor surgery and biomechanical assessment.

I am proud to work at Foot Medic, one of the highest-rated clinics in South Wales, where staff training, ongoing professional development, and patient-focused care are central to everything we do. Being part of such an innovative and supportive team allows me to continually grow my skills while delivering the highest standard of treatment for patients.

Outside of clinic, I enjoy spending time with my husband and three children. I love gardening, woodworking, weekends away in our camper van, and singing in a local choir, which I find both fun and rewarding.

With over a decade of experience in the podiatry sector, I am the Practice Manager for Foot Medic Cardiff clinics. This experience has allowed me to build strong connections with practices and suppliers while continually developing my knowledge in this ever-evolving field.

I hold a First-Class Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in Education, and my background in teaching equipped me with strong organisational and communication skills.

At Foot Medic, I focus on supporting our patients, clinicians, and the wider team to maintain and promote the highest standards of care. I am proud to play a part in creating a welcoming, professional environment where patients receive exceptional care and our team thrives.

With a career rooted in healthcare, I have developed the skills and experience to ensure a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our patients. I’ve always enjoyed working in roles that involve engaging with people—it’s where I feel most fulfilled.
